Mrs Joshila DeVile

Joshila completed her undergraduate physiotherapy degree in South Africa(2000).  She moved to England in 2001 to pursue her career.

Joshila is a multi-skilled physiotherapist who has worked both within private practice and the NHS. With over 23 years of experience covering a wide range of specialities her skillset is unique and highly adaptable. Her area of focus is oncology and lymphoedema and she has completed further post graduate study in these fields.

She works in the NHS at the Royal Surrey County Hospital as a Specialist Lymphoedema Physiotherapist as well as managing her own private practice.

Joshila's passion is empowering patients and clinicians around exercise and cancer.  She achieves this by presenting at conferences, charities and hosts webinars for GP's and patient support groups.

In her spare time she enjoys running, climbing mountains and spending quality time with her husband and daughters.

 

Dr DeVile qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2002.

After training in general medicine for 3 years at various London hospitals, he moved to the Oxford region as a registrar in anaesthetics and Intensive Care (ICU).

He completed advanced training in Intensive Care Medicine at Guy’s & St Thomas’ and the Hammersmith Hospitals in London, before taking up a Consultant post with Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust in 2013.

Dr DeVile’s post at St Peter’s Hospital involves managing acute critically ill patients in the busy ICU as well as providing anaesthesia to patients undergoing operations.  He has had vast exposure to many critically ill COVID patients during the waves of the pandemic and gained valuable experience treating them.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters. Any remaining spare moments are spent catching up with friends, cycling, running and learning French.
